Our Best Answer - How do I get priority registration?
To receive priority registration you must complete the Priority Registration Checklist by the Priority Deadline. For deadline dates check out the Dates to Remember web page. Items on the checklist include:
-Completing the Online Orientation
-Taking the math and English placement tests
-Creating a Student Education Plan (SEP) and selecting a Program of Study
To continue to receive priority registration you must remain off academic probation and/or progress probation for two consecutive semesters in the Coast District. Appointments become available about a week before registration begins. To view your priority registration eligibility log in to MyOCC, click the “Student Tab” and then click the link that says “View My Eligibility.”
Even if you do not complete the Priority Checklist by the Priority Deadline you can still register for classes! We recommend that you register for classes and then focus on completing your steps so that you may qualify for priority registration for the next semester.
